Strengths: Easier to install and remove that I would have thought.Lens cap accessible with it installed.
Weaknesses: Price for sure for a piece of plastic.
Review: I would have to agree with other postings that it should be included with the lens, especially considering the price of the lens. It seems to be quite flexable plastic so hopefully it won't break. I've mainly used it outside in sun light.

Weaknesses: Works with a limited number of Nikon's catalog of lens.
Review:  It was hard enough justify $1600 on a 70-200 2.8 VR lens, spending $5500 for a 200-400 F4 VR was out of the question. Still there are times when 200 isn't quite enough reach to get the picture you want. The $420 for a TC-17E was a compromise that I could live with. Review: Theres a reason those big Telephoto lens cost a king's ransom. This will give you the extra reach you want, without loosing much image quality. Much much better than the 2x TC by canon.

Review: I brought this adapter along with the Powershot S2 so that I could use the filter mount. As well as doing this, the hood helps protects the lens when you don't have the piece of detritus Canon calls a lens cap. All in all, it does what it says.
