Weaknesses: Built to not be repairable by owner and based on several others' comments only lasts for 2-3 years.

No way to fix since they use non-standard security screws which are recessed so far that you cannot get them out w/o the correct tool (which of course they have). Aside from the cons mentioned above, I've also had some trouble with the little red ball that acts as the water level indicator. Weaknesses: Difficult to program, constantly gets air bubbles in the sight glass tube.
Review: I replaced a 15 year old Krups with this model about a year ago just for the Stainless Steel look. This new model stills makes coffee as good as my old model, but the constant air bubbles in the sight glass (clear them out, within 3 days they're back) renders it nearly worthless.
